Richard Crouse Caricature

This is a caricature of the Canadian movie critic Richard Crouse. Went a bit more cartoony in this one. He has a chipmunk-ish essence about him.

Pushing Daisies Caricature

I'm trying to get more extreme with my caricatures. This is an attempt at Lee Pace who plays Ned on the show 'Pushing Daisies'.

Also, I recently indulged in an hp laptop which has a monitor that swivels and works as a cintiq, but there are giant differences in what i see on that screen in comparison to how the drawings appear on regular screens. This one, for example, had lots of nice shading on it on my laptop, but on here it just looks like a mess. I wonder how one goes about calibrating these things...

Whitney Port Caricature

I'm currently working on a project that I can't really post about, so I thought that I would upload my warm-up sketch of Whitney Port, one of the stars of the exceptionally awesome and horribly bad MTV 'reality' show: The Hills. I'm embarrassed to say that, after discovering this show on a friend's Rogers OnDemand digital tv box, I watched all four seasons in the span of one week. The people on the show are so superficial and self-absorbed, which is why, I suppose, Whitney seems to stand out against all these unlikeables. And now she has her own show called The City!! Which....doesn't air on tv where I am. So that sucks.

The end.

Illustration Friday: Contained

A quick sketch - my entry for the latest Illustration Friday theme: Contained.

A little spin on the classic 'mime in the glass box' routine. This time he ain't gettin' out.
